Peach Drop, the Largest New Year’s Eve Celebration in the Southeast, continues a 27-year tradition in Downtown Atlanta with an evening of top-notch entertainment! Beginning at 7 p.m., Underground Atlanta will be the focal point for ringing in the New Year with live music and tens of thousands of fellow revelers. As 2016 nears, the main stage will light up with live performances, and the 800-pound Peach will begin its decent just before the clock strikes midnight. Following the drop, a fireworks show will illuminate the sky and millions of pieces of confetti will rain down on the crowd!
Packed full of excitement, the Peach Drop is Atlanta’s favorite way of ringing in the New Year!
Atlanta Celebrates 2016 with Sister Hazel, T.I. and an 800-lb. Peach!
Celebrating more than two and a half decades as the largest New Year’s Eve celebration in the Southeast, the 27th-Annual Peach Drop promises excitement, star-power and fun surprises. Three-time Grammy-winning recording artist and actor T.I. will headline the event, and Gainesville, Florida-based alternative rockers, Sister Hazel will open.
DJ Eddie J will keep everyone in a festive mood as he performs throughout the evening. Opening acts All Cows Eat Grass and Velveteen Pink will heat up the Main Stage and rev up the revelers for the headline acts.
As midnight approaches, former City Council Member/City Council President/Fulton County Commissioner – and long-time champion of the Peach Drop event – Robb Pitts will take the stage to pull the official Peach Drop switch, starting the countdown to 2016.
